Why Is A Subway Steak Sub So Expensive?
You know that sometimes I get corny
The distance between us.
Never mind the phone company ads to insist otherwise, or the false idea that the Internet keeps us close. So far, there is a technology that allows us to share a drink at a distance, or disclosure of trying to fix the world, left, life or women.
What is true, at least in my case, is that the possibility of moving to other countries is becoming increasingly real. Other times I do not know if people lost the closeness of their friends so regularly. But for me has been the rule, in these times of globalization and postmodernity.
The distance makes me sad. No matter how much effort to write or make a call, the closeness and lost everyday. In life, I'm in the car endless talks with my best friend, delicious meals at my best friend; questions interminable philosophical discussions, and others.
Now lose the pleasure of knowing that my best friend take the whiskey richer than I bought, thinking about sharing a chat with him.

The last time I saw a president with such high levels of popularity and, consequently, of expectations, it was Vicente Fox's story is known to all, his presidency was a failure.

Finally, Obama will have a majority in both houses and it gives a much greater margin of maneuver.

His prayer / pledge makes me think of "representation" of the rulers. That is, we know that government emanates from the popular representation, or acting on our behalf. I had never noticed the fact that the government is acting on my behalf. Today I do, I feel ashamed.

Another thing I find very hypocritical in my peers is the perception of public transport.
In our city, do not know anyone who prefers transport public convenience and selfishness of the car.
However, when we left Mexico, study or pleasure, we commend the transportation systems in other cities. It seems cool to travel with strangers and even the smell makes us curious and not contempt. We do not mind walking 5 or 6 blocks to get to our destinations, and although rain neve or wait patiently in the community.
not pretend ignore the fact that our transportation system is critical failures. The discomfort, the uncertainty of the times, the bad treatment of drivers, insecurity and the distances Homer make this not an option but a madness.
However, I am convinced that, as citizens, we have forgotten to make our public services better. Once we have sufficient purchasing power, we decided to privatize our transportation through the car. We decided not worth talking to Locatel and report to a driver, comfort matters most to the pollution they generate. We forget that, ultimately, the traffic is also a collective action problem.
So starting today, even from Tuesday to Friday choose not settle. And all drivers will report to fool. I will make an effort not to take my wallet when squeezed. And mine will be a less polluting car, causing traffic and forgetting that for all of us to do something, however insignificant and not noticeable.
And I know nobody cares, but me. But in this blog I am God. And here is what God wants published.

And I find profoundly true. And, like him, just sad.
I get the feeling that the left in Mexico and elsewhere, wallows in moral superiority based on the failure. So his greatest moments was based on what could be and not what it was. Why it was so difficult for the great intellectuals of the left assume that real socialism had left that moral utopia. So today, underestimates the British third way. So in Mexico, 68 have that nostalgic aura of fantasy do not quite like it.
Unfortunately, I find echoes the words of Zizek in the alternative for which I voted in 2006. Do not play this game of power, because power corrupts. Here, in Prague and in China, and Rome. Today and 40 years, and makes 400. Because the complaint is simpler and the resistance there is no way to lose. O was lost because the other cheated. Or the world was not ready for changes.
